About Us: Discover Our Incursions Story and Mission

Mission and vision:

To bring the experience, reverence and fun of music combined with aspects of the wisdom of ancient cultures to Australian children while they are young and curious, and their hearts are open to the multicultural gifts and talents of our societies and our world.

History:

Frederick Little Fox – Walking the Red Road.

After studying with various Native American elders in the early 1990s, Frederick Little Fox has been passionate about sharing aspects of what he has learned in an age-appropriate way with preschool children since 1995. Endorsed to continue his work with children by Archie Lame Deer, Little Fox feels privileged to work with Australian children and to demonstrate how people co-exist with the land, the animals, and each other.

As a musician and instrument maker Frederick Little Fox lives and breathes music.

Facilitating Hoop Drum making workshops for adults, re-skinning Djembes and hand making wooden Native American Love Flutes are some of his specialties.

His ability to intuitively work with adults and children to ensure they receive the knowledge and experience relevant for them at that moment in time makes his work completely age-appropriate and a joy to be involved in. Little Fox is skilled at relating to children, and is gifted at connecting with them and delivering a multicultural experience in a fun and exciting way.

Little Fox Drumming is committed to the safety of our community!
